These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cognimap.io and its tools, including Gallifrey, Sylar, and SubnetFlow (collectively, the "Software"). These Terms are entered into between you and Daniel Dorshimer, doing business as Cognimap ("Cognimap," "we," "us," "Licensor"). By accessing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
The Software — including all source code, design, visual assets, and the names "Cognimap," "Gallifrey," "Sylar," and "SubnetFlow" — is the property of Daniel Dorshimer. © 2026 Daniel Dorshimer. All rights reserved, except for the limited license expressly granted below.
Subject to these Terms, Cognimap grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Software by visiting the Site. This license permits use of the Software as served by the Site at the time of access. It does not grant any right to retain, cache, archive, redistribute, or continue using any downloaded, saved, or copied version of the Software independent of the Site.
Free access to the Software is offered at Cognimap's sole discretion and is not a perpetual license. Cognimap may modify, restrict, convert to a paid model, or terminate free access at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. This applies to all versions of the Software regardless of when you obtained or accessed them — no version grants you a standing right to free use independent of Cognimap's current terms. Continued use of any copy of the Software after such a change is not authorized unless you comply with the then-current terms (e.g., a paid license).
You may not, without Cognimap's prior written permission:
Data you enter into the Software (e.g., timelines, nodes, notes) is stored only in your browser's local storage/cache, unless you explicitly export it yourself (for example, copying to clipboard or saving a JSON file). Cognimap has no access to, copy of, or ability to recover this data.
Clearing your browser cache or site data, switching browsers or devices, or browser storage limits may result in permanent, unrecoverable data loss. You are solely responsible for exporting and independently backing up any data you wish to keep.
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Cognimap does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any specific decision-making purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cognimap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Software.
Cognimap may modify these Terms, the Software, or the Site at any time, and may suspend or discontinue access for any user or generally, with or without notice. Continued use of the Software after a change to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
